Elysian completed Lloyd's Lab Cohort 16, the accelerator program at the center of the Lloyd's specialty insurance market.
The program
Lloyd's Lab received 220 applications for Cohort 16. Twenty companies were shortlisted to present at Pitch Day, held at Lloyd's of London on March 4, 2026, and Elysian was one of twelve selected to join the ten-week program. Cohort 16 focused on three themes: operational efficiency in the Lloyd's market, new products for emerging risks, and an Ireland-specific resilience initiative developed with Ireland's Department of Finance.
From April 27 through July 15, Elysian worked directly with Lloyd's managing agents, brokers, and Corporation specialists to adapt its claims platform for Lloyd's specialty lines, with a focus on real-time claims quality review, coverholder and TPA oversight, and syndicate compliance reporting.
Demo Day
The cohort's work culminated in Demo Day, held July 13 through 15 at Lloyd's of London. Elysian presented its progress adapting AI-native claims auditing for the specialty market alongside the eleven other companies in Cohort 16.
Grace Hanson, Elysian's Founder and CEO, spent her career as a claims executive before founding Elysian, including as Chief Claims Officer at Hiscox Syndicate 33, the oldest syndicate in the Lloyd's market. That background shaped Elysian's approach to specialty claims oversight throughout the program.
